Subject: Interview Candidates for the Vacant Board Position

Background:
Jessica Dias resigned from her Board Position effective January 31, 2025. District staff has informed Karen Startup, Campaign Services Manager for Voter Registration & Elections of the Board vacancy. Notices were posted at Howe Park Community Center, Cottage Park Community Building, and a minimum of three notices placed in District’s parks. Additionally, notices were posted on the District’s website.
The announcement requested letters of interest be submitted by 5:00 P.M. on Monday, March 3, 2025. Three Letters of Interest were received by that time.
Chris Fischer, Magali Kincaid, and Steve Rice submitted Letters of Interest. Their letters are attached for your review. All three candidates are residents of the District. Each will be present at the meeting to be interviewed for the vacant Board position.
Discussion:
Interview questions will be assigned to each Board member by Chair Higgins at the time of the interview. The interviews, motions, discussions, and votes must be conducted in open session.
