In 2023, Sacramento County’s District 3 welcomed the largest number of Afghan refugees in the nation, and since then, the county, along with nonprofit organizations, has been dedicated to helping these individuals achieve economic independence.

While the transition has presented challenges for both new arrivals and established residents, we believe that through collaboration and understanding, we can build a strong, unified community. That is why we are excited to introduce the first annual Unity Fair - a celebration of diversity and togetherness.
