NOTICE OF VACANCY

FULTON-EL CAMINO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT
BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Pursuant to Government Code Section 1780, notice is hereby given that a vacancy exists on the Board of Directors of the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District. The Board of Directors is seeking letters of interest and statements of qualifications from qualified persons wishing to fill the vacancy. In accordance with section 5784 of the California Public Resources Code, persons wishing to fill the vacancy must be registered voter to within the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District. The Board may appoint a successor Director no earlier than 15 days after the date of this notice.

Qualified persons interested in applying to fill the vacancy may submit their letters of interest and statements of qualifications to the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District, attention Emily Ballus, General Manager, by mail or in person at 2201 Cottage Way, Sacramento, CA 95825, or by email to eballus@fecrpd.com, by no later than Noon,

March 3, 2025.

The District has designated an ad hoc selection committee to review applications and conduct interviews of candidates. The ad hoc selection committee will then recommend one or more candidates to the Board of Directors for their final selection. The selection will take place at a regular or special Board of Directors meeting to be set prior to the April 1, 2025, deadline for filling the vacancy. The new Director's term will run until the expiration of the term of the vacant Board seat. If the appointee wishes to continue in office, he or she must run in the District's regular 2026 election and be elected to a full four-year term in that election.

Directors set the policy and budgetary priorities for the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District.
